Last week I was stung by a scorpion . . . Parabuthus granulatus. . . . . . after spending 3 days in the hospital I came home to my bd’s and found that they didn’t want anything to do with me . . . .they kept looking at me in a strange way . . . .even now after a week they don’t like me anymore and . . or it looks that way . . . could it just be the venom/ medication that they detect or my absence????

Hello, hope you are doing well.

I believe all creatures have a sixth sense. Animals are known to detect emotion or illness. Maybe after your absense, they have felt neglected, or they can sense that a predator's venom is in your bloodstream. Since your beardies are visual creatures, I believe your absence may have had more of an impact on them than the meds you are on. Start handling them, as you usually do, and I'm sure they'll come around.

Good luck and be well.
