What is your basking temperature at? You are using a digital with probe thermometer (?) is the probe directly in the basking spot?

Hi, he sure is a cute little guy. In the picture, those crickets look on the large size. Did you make sure they are no larger than the space between his eyes?

Can you fill us in on the type of thermometer you're using and what brand UVB you have?

Edit: you beat me to it about the thermometer Michael.

I completely overlooked that! Now I am also curious of the cricket size in comparison to the dragon.

Sometimes it's hard to tell in the pictures so we'll see what the OP says about it. We certainly know that it's better to be safe than sorry about the size.

The readings are 107 basking. probe mounted in the tree where he lays. Cool side around 84. The crickets were 1/2 inch. He usually feeds on phonix worms but im out and no one around here sells them. So im looking at wednesday to get them. But he didnt eat those last week anyway. Maybe one or 2 when he used to eat about 20 per feeding. The crickets look about perfect size. THe pic was close up. I have smaller ones too and he shows no instrest in them. THe female is 3 months younger and tears those crickets up as fast i can i put them in. No Mercy.. I just put her some mango and squash and she dove in to it. She is bigger then dex.. And dex was double her size when i got her. I ate one piece of mango after i put it to his mouth and he licked it forever.. Im not sure if he has a problem or if this is normal. Im just dont want nothing to happen to him.. He was giving me that look a few minutes ago so i took him out.. Now hes asleep under my pillow. His fav spot.. He is spoiled rotten...

Its 16" from the floor of the tank. 6" from his basking spot. Would it take 3 months of this setup to start affecting his mood? I have a 36 inch reflector fixture in the tank im building him. Im about 2 weeks out on getting him in it. I have that in the females tank and its a lot brighter. Guys im appreciate all the help. I may be over reacting but this is my first and im so attached to him.. As you can see by how spoiled he is.

Have you gotten him checked for parasites? Not eating much and vomiting, it is most likely little stow aways making him feel icky.

That was the first time he vomited. Besides the not eating when hes out the tank hes fine.. How do you test for parisites. The closest vet that deals with reptiles is about 3 hours away. But hes my baby. Ill take the trip if i have too...

well actually most vets that dont do reptiles will still do a fecal exam. the vet for my beardie charges 40$ a fecal but the average vet around the corner is 20$ when i had a fecal done i went there first which was positive for pinworms so i had them print up the test and i took it and him to my herp vet who than prescribed and all that good stuff. just make sure they do a float on top of a microscope check, which most vets will do. call first :)

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
