Bearded Dragon Mouth Rot???

Ok, when I came yesterday I noticed that my bearded dragon's mouth was constantly open, his beard was black, and he wasn't eating.
But, earlier on in this week i noticed that he smells like his food. I don't know if that's me smelling the mouth rot because, he has never smelt like that before. Also, my bearded dragons mouth opens at random times, even when he wasn't under the heat lap. It also appears that his mouth has a greenish tint to it but, i'm not positive.

P.S. he is in the middle of a big shed and has very bad diarea.
Please help, I'm concerned.

Hello Mitch,

Mouthrot looks very nasty inside of the mouth, like a whitish substance with pus, so does the inside of his mouth look like that?
What kind of food has he been eating, do you feed him babyfood? If so, could he possibly have some on his mouth or beard that you did not get wiped off?
What are the temps in your tank & what do you use to measure the temps with?
If he is gaping constantly, there are usually 2 main reasons. The tank is either way too hot & he is unable to thermoregulate, or he has a respiratory infection.
Could you post a picture of him, & also try to get a picture of the inside of the mouth too if possible?

Ok, my bearded dragon wasn't eating yesturday and his beard was black. was i figured he just wasn't hungrey. Well this morning he tried to poo but he couldn't, it was like halfway through but he couldn't get it through the other half!!! Is this impaction? i think it is because latley I've been feeding him 1 inch crickets instead of 3/4 inch crickets. And on top of all this, HIS MOUTH IS A GREEN COLOUR!!!!! I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THAT IS!!!!!!

Info about him:

- 1 year old
- tile substrate
- tempatures are all fine
- he eats 10 crickets a day and sometimes superworms

It'll be a couple of hours before I can get him to a vet since my parents are out of the house

Please Help!!!!!

No the inside of his mouth doesn't look like that its like a greenish tint not really any whhite. He has been eating cucumber and collard greens lately, i dont feed him baby food. The temps in his tank are 75- cool side, 90- hot side basking temp- 110, i use a thermometre with a probe.
And im sorry but i cant get a picture right know.....

Put him in a bath immediately to try to help him get the rest of it out.Also while he in there massage his abdomen in a downward motion starting from the "armpit" and then working your way down in a circular motion.Also I dont recommend any more solid foods until he is pooping normally again.How old is he?You said temps are fine but can you tell me what they are and how/where are you measuring them?Also what type of UVB are you using?A picture of his mouth would be helpful as it could be a normal color change or something else but without a photo it would be very diffucult to tell.

Ok, I dont think its mouth rot any more. The inside of His mouth is a darker colour, is it darker in there because his beard is black? I unno???
Also when i was checking his mouth again there was a really thick saliva inside. What is it and how can i fix it?!?!

Yeah that's what I did at first, I put him in the bath. But yesturday when i was giving him his second bath he just sank underwater and he was going all limp! I'll definately try again thoug just with shallower water. Also thank you for the detailed massaging description. I reall didn't know what people meant when they said massage his stomach, now i do. Havent given him any solid foods since then and he is about a year.
Temps: Cool side 75-80, Basking Spot 100-110, Warm side 80-90. I am measuring these temps with a probe thermometre.
I'm using a tube light, its exo-terra, 10.0 UVB, and its fairly new only a couple of months old
Ok, and update on his mouth, I wouldn't say its green anymore, its more a dark colour. Could this to because his beard is constantly black??
And, I recently opened his mouth and there is a really thick saliva in there. What is that?

The reason I havent brought him to the vet yet. Is because my parents say that we shouldn't spend all that money, because it might be something small that it ends up to be that he had to fart or something. I really wanna take him to the vet but my parents are like, lets wait it out a little longer...

ok your temperatures are indeed fine.
exo terra 10.0? what brand is that exactly, it should be written on one of the ends of the tube?
reptisun 10.0 is the recommend tube uvb for beardies, im thinking the exo terra is the reptiglo, if so then not a good tube at all.

oh my theirs mucus and excess saliva in his mouth and he cant poop? id get him to a vet immediately, something isnt right with any of that. its the mouth that alarms me more, it should be a normal colour, pinkish and no i dont believe they can get black mouths because their beards are black, it dont quite work that way.
you must talk your parents into taking him to a specialist herp vet, so you cant get there or pay yourself? sorry i dont mean to sound rude but im guessing your either too young and dont drive or your a student? therefore a lot of bribing of the parents promise to do chores around the house or something .
let us know how hes doing and i hope someone with more experience comes along and helps you out some more, maybe they will know some home remedies, im not sure what you can do for him except get to a vet.
hows his breathing? any wheezing, coughing like sounds, popping sounds at all? is there any kind of mucus/ saliva coming out of his nostrils?

Well, it's sunday so none of the vets are open. So we brought him to our local pet store and they said to up the tempatures and to give a bath but also put a couple drops of Electrolyte and vitamin D3 into the water. My camera is working so here are some pictures...

Couldn't get his mouth open... didn't want 2 hurt him....

In this picture does it look like his eye is sorta pushed in? Because it does to me.

This last photo is the most importent, As i said before he was constapated right? Well When i went to take a look there, Around the hole it was all a purple colour with a little bit of green on it as well..... Doesn't look good

He's breathing very slowly, he'll stop for a couple seconds then take a couple little short breaths. He isn't gasping for air though. No wheezing, no couhging sounds and no poping sounds. There isn't any muscus or saliva coming from his nose. But there still is alot of saliva in his mouth though.

The people at the pet shop said wait a couple days and see what the electrolyte does, but i really want to take him to the vet. Hopefuly we'll go tommorow.... O yeah, we also got baby food for him to eat havent tried to feed him yet though cause he's sleeping.

ok id get him to a vet immediately i really wouldnt leave him like that for any longer, his breathing, vent, eyes and the fact hes either due to shed or has retained shed is telling us something is wrong and i dont think its going to go away with just probiotics or vitamins.

Hello,

Was the saliva off colored & stringy also?
It sounds like a possible respiratory infection. What is the humidity in your tank? It should not exceed 40% ideally.
Where is the digital probe placed? Your temps sound ok, but you could bump up the cool side to around 78-82, that could help him out. Does he bask enough during the day to digest his food?
What type of UVB lighting are you using?
