I was told that UV aids in beardie digestion, but I only run my UV for about 12 hours/until Simon goes to sleep. So should I abstain for feeding him a while before bed to let him digest, or will it be okay?
As Dooter pointed out, yes, they need heat and UVB to digest properly, so feeding time should be well before lights go out. This exact reason is why most keepers feed their beardies in the morning, so that they have all day to digest their food.
I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
