ive only had my 2 adult beardies and havent bathed them yet i was told put 1/4 of water in the tub and put them in is this right any input would be helpful thanks
I put my beardie in the bath. I fill the bath with warm water ( about same temp u wud for a baby) to about chest hight. Remember to always supervise your beardies whilst in the bath. Like babys if you leave them unsupervised they can drown.
As far as bathing, do Beardies need a water bowl to soak in whenever they want in their enclosure? Right now, I just have a drinking water bowl in his tank which isn't big enough for him to soak in. I did see him lying over it with his belly emerged though. I give him a bath 1-2 times a week in the sink.
My beardie is 11" and I have been bathing him daily in my kitchen sink... I warm the water temp until it's nice on my wrist and i then let it warm up the bottom of the sink. After the bottom of the sink is warm I put Toothless in the sink and plug the drain. He scurries around splashing as the water comes up to about shoulder high. I then shut the water off and start the timer for 20 mins. Sometimes he just sits their and watches me prep the food bowl for my Sulcotta, other times he scurries around and splashes.
I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
