basking spot temp?

I just set up my encloser and it has been up for 1.5 hours. the temp on the basking spot is 102.2 It was 115.7 on the highest point but I moved the heat lamp up a little. what temp should it be.

i try to stay around 100-105 and my beardie loves it

Im having a hard time getting that temp. I just looked and it was 112.3 so I moved the light up a little.

whats sizes is the enclosuer?
what watt is your bulb?
what brand? is a uvb?
what size lamp?
and how is your lamp mounted?
and what type of temp gauge are you using?

The enclosure is 36wide, 16 high and 12 inches wide.
I have a 18inch Repisun (sp?) 10.0
the lamp is a clamped 75watt hologen bulb
Im using an acrite indoor out door thermater probe. right now its ready 103.4
