Aurora and Leo ...Pictures!

I just wanted to start a thread with updates. I know I need to update.. I have 1 more final tomorrow. So there will be lots of updates and lots of pictures.

If you did not see my introduction thread... this is one of Barbara's babies from the first clutch, sister to the infamous Bligg! Mommy and daddy are Ms. Tiggs and PVT Blaze!

With that, she has been doing ok.. She likes diving in my tub! We had a little set back with something but that is all set. Aurora also got a new brother, who isn't really mine, more like my boyfriends. His name is Helios or Leo for short.

I heard about a big dust storm in Arizona, but not a snow storm!

Yes, I even heard about the dust storm on Fox news before I heard about it on the evening news from the local cbs channel. Our snow storm came in during the night as we woke up to that about 7am this morning. This snow storm you probably won't hear anything about as it will probably be gone by this evening. In fact, a lot of it where we drive is mostly mud and water by now. When we were taking the pics, it was a light snow covered mud ish stuff. We haven't had any snow at our house in at least 3 or 4 years.

Ahh.. I guess I have nothing better to do with my life! I'll just throw in some more pictures.

There is an ongoing battle with the zoo living in my room, and my cat Cash. He is my baby and follows me everywhere, and does it more now that he found out that these little things move! He will sit outside the door and meow extremely loud until I let him in. Oh and he's not afraid of the water to a point.

Oh.. and I got the uber stink eye today when she didn't want to wake up!
I usually tuck her in at night, and in the morning, I'm afraid she wont see the lights through the blanket, so I usally pull the covers back. I think she was trying to kill me with her looks.

You can totally tell in the pictures where she is shedding too! She's got one leg done, 3 more to go, top of her head.. and her tail! Doesn't seem too cranky though.

Cash is beautiful, very intrigued by Aurora, bet you don't dare take your eyes away.

Miss Aurora looks fantastic, looks very relaxed on the air pillow. That picture of her soaking up the rays and flattened out like a pancake is a riot. :mrgreen: Boy, I guess you DID get the stink eye when you uncovered her this morning. :roll: Guess she wanted to sleep in a little longer.

Thank you Diane! I think Cash is beautiful too.. (after I read what you wrote I just spent 20 mins looking at pictures of him when he was super young and cried all that time.. I'm a freak) And yes, they get no alone time.. I can't wait to get a viv made so I can stop worrying about if he's jumping on the screen. And don't get me started about Leo's tank... Apparantly Cash wants to be a dragon too and sun himself also.

Lol.. she is pretty funny.. it's like she's dieing to get a tan, and making sure there are no tan lines! Next time she gives me the stink eye, I might cover her back up..maybe... just maybe.

Awww she is so cute. I love how she is bearding Cash in the tub. And the basking beard! I could squeal she's so cute! Lilly will get herself up in the mornings even if she is very tucked in.
PS... what do you think my little Jackie is mixed with? Just out of curiosity.

Sara - Hmm... it's SO hard to tell with her, because all kinds of jacks look so unique she does have very delicate features though. If anything I'd say a rat terrier because she looks a lot like a jack. Where did you get her from, and how old when you got her??? How tall is she also?

She has sorta a body like my male, and he's registered ukc. Although he violates every standard for the short legged jack, or jack in general.

We got her in July 08. We found her in the middle of the street and couldn't find an owner. As I watched her cower any time I reached for her, I decided I really didn't want to find her owner. She's now curled up in a little ball in my lap. She has long legs, I'm not sure how tall she is, but definitely taller than the average jack. She is 15.5# (or at least was last time I weighed her). I think she was between 1 and 2 years when I found her, so 2.5 to 3.5 now. I kind of wonder if she has part beagle, with the tri-color face. I've thougtht maybe fox or rat terrier as well.

Oh no! There are many black, white and brown jacks. I think she honestly looks like a full jack. I'm trying to find some good pictures of Brady for you, but I suck and there are none.

Here is the akc standard for parson russell (the long legged ones, there are short legged ones - which are supposed to be but i beg to differ on Brady)

Color
White, white with black or tan markings, or a combination of these, tri-color. Colors are clear. As long as the terrier is predominantly white, moderate body markings are not to be faulted. Grizzle is acceptable and should not be confused with brindle. Disqualification: Brindle markings.

Huh, that is interesting. I always think of jacks as having the much lighter brown. I would love to see pics of Brady when you get them.
