Ok, so we brought Rawrr home about 2 weeks ago, and since we have had him, he seems to ignore small crickets, and goes after the bigger ones but will only go after one, TWO if I am lucky. He doesn't seem to eat much as far as veggies are concerned, and we do offer them every day, and every other day with a dusting. I have tried to dust the crickets, but he ignores them.. not sure if its because they blend in with the paper towels on the floor of the cage or if he hates his vitamins.. :( either way, he needs it. He has shed once since we have had him, and it was a pretty good shed.. no issues.. He seems pretty active and poops about every other day. seems plump enough.. I just worry that 2 crickets 3-4 times a day isn't enough.. especially when I see what others are saying their BD eat... We are pretty new, and I am trying to make sure he has what he needs...

Thanks much for your help with this...

Hi. He could still have some relocation stress. Maybe you could try feeding him in a seperate container. Or maybe he's not to hip on crickets. You could try Phoenix worms, silk worms dubia roaches, butter worms. Those you could put in a bowl and then he can eat them easier. Plus he might "accidentally" eat some salad. Babies don't eat salad all that much so don't worry just keep offering it every day.

He eats the crickets.. he just doesn't seem to care much about the little ones.. he only chases the larger ones.. but they could be right under his nose, if he had one or two, he wont touch anymore. Is there a size difference between medium and large crickets? I ask for medium but they seem a bit big... trying to find Dubia locally.. but no one seems to carry them so might have to order them online. Id like to get him on those and see if he likes them.. I really hate chasing crickets..lol

Make sure those crickes are no bigger than the space between his eyes. Babies can get impacted very easily.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
