Wow! I'm so glad you took him in. It's so exciting to see these guys who come from poor conditions transform into beautiful, healthy, eating machines! :D

It is amazing to see animals blossom when they get their needs met. That is one thing that I love about rescue and rehab work, just that you can watch them recover and it's just amazing to see a dragon that couldn't walk start to walk, or one that couldn't catch feeders able to eat on his own. I have a dragon here that I got in June who would flip over when he walked, and today he actually half-ran, limping but victorious. He has a long way to go, and he only has one lung that works, but he's getting stronger. :D

So 2 days ago Aries was 100 grams. Today Spring was 302 grams. Since the first weighing, Aries has gained 40 grams and Spring has gained 76 grams. Even though they are both eating very well, Spring has still gained nearly twice as much as Aries in the same time period.

Hello! There's finally been a bit of progress with Aries to the point where it seems like a good time to post a picture that was taken 30 min ago:

Aries today is 156 grams and Spring today is 310 grams:

This was the first picture of them that was posted, Aries 60 grams and Spring 226 grams:

Aries is gaining weight and seems to be in a little growth spurt. He eats anything that is put in front of him, including salad. :D The funny thing about Aries is that he is so small but has the juvenile dragon behaviors that the younger dragons that are his size do not have. Also, Aries has gained a ton of color.

Wow that color came out of nowhere! Its beautiful

Yes he is supposed to be a white dragon, same as Spring. They are the product of marketed leucistic bloodlines. When we got Aries, we were thinking since he looked so grey that he would hopefully represent his genetics better than Spring, but he is turning the same color as her!!

Wow. Finally growing into those back legs! Turning into a beautiful dragon.

Yes he is starting to get some muscular/meaty legs. :) And when he is basking he looks like a tequila sunrise.

i have two 1.5 month old babies and one doesnt have a problem eating, but the other does. she doesnt seem interested. i have to hold it up to her or put it by her face or pick her up and place her near where the roach, after when she runs away... well they both do... i feed them veggies as well, in the morning that is. but either way, after eating they dont go basking, they just hide.... why is it?!

- both have their own enclosure
- each enclosure is made of melamine
- 4x2x2

Quick question. For weighing your dragons, what kind of scale do you use? A link would be greatly appreciated.

I will check when I get back home and let you know. As long as the scale weighs in grams and will fit on the weighing part...lol. I will post a pic of it later on.

They should naturally want to bask and not hide, but they are babies and may not know what to do in such a large tank. Remember babies are raised in small tanks and bins, and also put in small tanks in the pet stores, so if you brought home a very little 6 week old baby and put it in a large home, it may just not really know where to be or what to do with itself. :(

Are you able to partition off the enclosure to make it smaller and to corral him onto the side with the heat light and UVB? Many people will keep a small baby in a 10 gallon or a 20 long until they are a bit bigger for this reason. Do you want to post a picture of your dragon in its tank and we can take a look at what you have set up and see if we can help you make some temporary adjustments? :D

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
