Hi, I am sorry if there was a discussion on age already. I am new to the group and did not see it. We got 2 Baby dragons on 8-13-17 from a breeder at a reptile show. I do not remember what age he told me they were. I think he said between 4-6 weeks. So we have had them about 4 weeks. Their length is 5 inches, does that sound normal for a 10 week old dragon?

Some of my biggest babies actually hatched out at 5". Are you sure about the size ? A 5" is barely beyond a hatchling. A 10 week old should be at least 6-7", but more like 9-10 ".

Was he a well known breeder ? Some breeders sell their babies as soon as they hatch and will say they are a month old.

How + what are they eating ?

I agree, a 5" beardie from snout to the end of the tail is a new hatchling, while a 2 month old should be around 10". I hope you're keeping them in entirely separate enclosures and out of sight of each other...

Unless the husbandry is poor and the UVA & UVB inadequate , temperatures are wrong, and it's not getting sufficient live insect protein and dietary calcium..... which will definitely result in a failure to thrive / grow .

Please upload photos of him, and his viv showing lights and substrate and setup, and tell us
how heavy he is in grams and how you are feeding him.

If you work through it methodically , the chances are there are likely a lot of issues that need to be tweeked or changed and they will pop right out at you, if you can give very detailed answers we will then be in a position to offer help. sorry, guys, I lost my password and couldnt get back in. Just got a new one, so here I am. Dragons are now 9 inches long, hey are separated. They are in a 40 gallon tank with basking bulb and tube uvb light. A rock to bask on, and hammocks if they choose to be on those. I was feeding small crickets, and veggies. Now I am feeding medium crickest and a small dubia roaches. I give them warm baths a few days a week. One thing one of my beardeis started doing today was acting like it was gagging. He is taking a breath, puffing up his beard and gagging. His belly is firm, almost solid. He has had a poo today. What could this mean?
