Adhesive on bottom of Tile

Is it ok to use the fake looking tile with adhesive on the bottom to stick to the bottom of the tank or not? I see a lot about non adhesive shelf liners and was just wondering if there's a reason why?

No its not a good idea to use the self adhesive tiles the Glue Will give off fumes you can use shelf liner newspaper slate tile sheet vinyl with no glue might need something to hold down the edges hope this helps

What do you mean by "fake looking" tile? Is it tile at all? Like the previous poster said...glue isn't good due to fumes. I'm just confused on what it is that you're trying to put down as a substrate...

I guess it's just linoleum with adhesive on it. Made to look like tile. I guess I'll pass on using it if there is a risk.
