adding gravel rock to fake rocks

I'm in the process of making fake rocks for my bearded dragons tank and I added some aquarium gravel to the grout and i was wondering if anyone else had done that before or not?

I would just worry that one of the pebbles could break off and the beardie would eat it.

As I was putting the grout on the Styrofoam I put the pebbles into the grout and then I pressed the rock into the grout
