A list for breeding roaches?

I was wondering if anyone had/ could tell me a checklist as to what i'll need to buy to start breeding my own roaches? my squeamishness with bugs is evaporating the longer i have my beardie :L

And my mum is complaining, because he eats a lot, and it's not cheap :/

So i was wondering if someone could help me out so i could breed some?

Also, if anyone knows a good and/or cheap place to buy a colony or something? (i'm in the uk)

Oh yeah, and do they smell? i mean, is it viable to keep the bin in my bedroom?

They don't smell at all. The only thing I can sometimes smell is the food I put in there.

I honestly would have to say they do have a smell, but nothing like crickets!! its a different smell... but very tolerable, specially them being FREE feeders lol. your basics would be a rubbermaid(or some kind of smooth surfaced container), egg crates or something similar, roach chow, water crystals,a heat pad/tape, and some screen to make a vent in the lid of your container. oh ya, and some roaches :lol:
