Hi guys, this may be silly to ask, but are baby dragons born smooth and get their bumps and such later? I was at a petsmart earlier wanting to buy one and I specifically don't want a leatherback. Their babies were very smooth to the touch and the lady that works the reptile section told me that they aren't leatherbacks and won't be smooth when they get older. I've never read that anywhere and wanted to double check before I got them.
She also said to get two so they could keep each other company. That it'd be ok if they were raised together. But from the research I've been doing, that isn't true; is it? I'm planning on buying the largest tank they sell and setting it up before I get them. It's at least 50 gallons. If that makes a difference.
Lastly, I know you have to feed them small crickets when they are young. But how do I get small ones? All petsmart has are adults.
Been reading :study: as much as I can about bearded dragons before I get one so I can do right by the little guy/gal. But there are a few things I don't know yet.
