I guess one might say "Ive opened up a can of worms" :)
Keep in mind the article was about pluming them up but I guess they would like to eat before their eaten :/

Today I received my second order of reptiworms, they were placed in my mail box and got warmer then I would have liked but they did survive. I let them air out for a couple of hours and prepared the cricket mash like we had previously discussed. I put the mash ball in the center of the substrate, in the plastic container. Well let me say... Freaky! In a matter of a few minuets, they had taken the mash ball completely beneath the surface and were actively moving about. I've also read the articles about the care of retiworms and how there is no need to feed them but what I saw today...I'd have to say they were plenty hungry  .
Just simply added water to the cricket food slowly and mixed it until it was the consistency of a flour dough ball, thats it. They seemed to approve and I'm thinking that feeding the reptiworms might not be nessesary but logic tells me; :study: If I want the best feeders for my Penelope, I should make sure I give the feeders what they need to be healthy. That pretty much says it all.. :D

OMG GUYS!! you are out of control LOL You DO NOT need to feed reptiworms... the only reason it says it on the site to feed them is if you want to get them bigger... I would imagine you order the size reptiworms you need for your dragon to eat, so you don't want to make them bigger..

I've been buying reptiworms for 6 months now and have not once fed them. The ONLY thing you need to do is keep them at 50 - 55 degrees (I use my cellar) and they will last a month + without turning into flies.

So Stop feeding them!! You don't need to, and if you do feed them, they create waste, then the bedding they come in will harbor their waste...

No they don't need dusted with the calcium but you must still offer salad and still use multivitamin supplement 2 times per week. Store in a cool area- i don't think they can be gutloaded. The repitworm website say they don't need gutloaded and last longer if stored at about 50-60F. From my experience, when cooler thay may appear dead but don't worry they start to move once they warm up.

Sorry if this sounds stupid, I'm still trying to figure everything out - Dust the reptiworms AND the salad with multivitamin supplement twice a week, or one or the other?

I would dust the reptiworms- that way you know how much he's ate and how much vitamins he's had- you never know with the salad :D

I am going to try a get a order going monday for repti's. If your dragons are about 6 and quarter long tail tip to the head. What size is good i tryed for 300 small but got cancel didnt have funds in time takes forever. I was think large would be alright. Idk

Don't get the small.. they are super tiny, and not worth it. The large are only about 1/2", and no hard shell, so order those instead..

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
