    Food for a Baby?

does the digital thermometer have a probe? you could give him a short bath. It wont hurt anything.. A piece of clothing is not necessary.. And the mouth open is how they tend to thermo regulate. Like a dog panting. Usually they will move away after awhile too. But if he isnt you may want to...

    Adenoviruses

I have probably read most of the same articles you have then. It didnt matter if it was any other animal or person I was reading it.. Although you have to keep in mind theres how many different strains? and each is different. So in that in my opinion you cant be too careful. Fecal to oral...

    Food for a Baby?

Heres what you could try.. Mix up a slurry of that stuff if you can and try dripping on his nose or possibly even lick off a spoon because those two methods will be less stressful than trying to force anything in his mouth

    Food for a Baby?

He could very well be that age and possibly just didnt get enough food.. What I did for mine when I had to make their food is I took the greens that were good for them, collard, mustard, turnip.. Butternut squash, their suppliments and feeders and a tiny bit of water and I would puree everything...

    Sick dragon

Do you have a digital thermostat for temp readings for basking spot and cool side? I was wondering what those may be since the wattages seem to be double what I have in my 4x2 enclosures. Also as far as night heat unless your house goes below 65 at night you dont need to worry about that heat...

    Adenoviruses

I think part of the issue is that no one has really investigated and researched much. Alot of the information is assumptions. Would I rather assume because I had at one point 6 positives in my home that the odds are something could be inside their cages if I get a negative dragon and bring it...

    Silkworms or Hornworms

I personally do hornworms. And if my memory is recalling correct they are the healthier choice out of the two. I would contact Rob from Great Lakes Hornworm. He had his reviewed for nutritional content

    Just an update about Nolvasan!

I just wanted to say. Although I know Nolvasan doesnt kill coccidia. Steam is very effective. I wouldnt recommend ammonia personally as a mix as it can be harsh on their respritory systems. I use a cleaner commonly used in vet offices. which is 3m Neutral Quat disinfectant cleanser Concentrate...

    Angry Outside

outside sometimes they feel threatened. Also with a couple of mine they get dark because they are absorbing and really just dont want to be touched. if you touch they could open their mouths and hiss and you. I think its that they dont like the interruption. OR also a fear. Eventually as they...

I have written many letters and had many calls about this. our collection is over 50 breeders.. The problem I do see is it is bill after bill after bill they keep pushing. Until they get what they wish this is the way they seem to be working it. its going to be a never ending battle. They have...

    Yellow foot.. WITH PICTURE

baytril is most commonly used in a case like this and has been tested on reptiles. You just have to know how to dose it properly.. So I would honestly seek another opinion if possible. Your dragon could potentially loose the whole foot or leg if not taken care of.. It doesnt look too swollen...

    Strange suggestions

He will always be special because of the MBD. you can never reverse that. can only stop it from getting worse. I looked back so I would know what to say to you. Corid? are you giving that to him now? its not formulated for reptiles. Can be very easily overdosed and cause issues as well...

    Strange suggestions

Is there any other vet you could possibly see? Corid is used to treat coccidia. but I havent heard of it being used in reptiles. It wont help with parasited. Did Charlie have a fecal and test positive for parasites and coccidia? I wouldnt take anything off the front porch to feed him. you dont...

with the infra red you check it yourself. you push the button and move it over the surface for temperatures. So you move it around because you hold it in your hand on the hot side and move it around on the cool side. you can check it a couple times a day if you want. its usually the more...

My BD is not eatting and is not active HELP???

Personally I use infra red thermometers. like this one http://www.petzoo.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=309 you can use that to measure the whole tank where as the others you have to have one probe set on each side. if you prefer that method i can link you to that too
