    BLACK BEARD ! HELP !

In my experience, once In a new home they can often take 2 or 3 days before they actually realize that everything had changed. New viv, new layout, new sights, new smells. Is kind of a lot to take in for them. Keep an eye out, all will be fine I'm sure. As stated previous, keep offering the...

my new adult female doesnt seem to be eating

Ok, a few things here; As above, ditch the UV coiled bulb. They are more trouble then anything. You need a UV Strip Tube that runs at least 3 quarters of your viv. But bet Is Arcadia 12% D3. They are the best in the business. The T5's setup is the best going on the market. But if you want a...

Should i be feeding twice a day at 18months?

At 18months you should have cut down the live food. From about 15months, mine go to 1 box of 5th Hoppers every 3rd day. So thats about 12 Hoppers every 3 days. And still salad/veg daily. Hope that helps

    Best MVB?

I'd always stay with Arcadia. I have Arcadia T8's, they are great. But the best has to be the Arcadia T5 12% + D3 UVB. No question about it. Im in the UK, not sure about US stocks etc. Guess should be good.

Seriously picky dragon won't eat greens.

Or, as I did when I've had issues before, give the Dragon's uneaten salad/veg to the live food. They will consume it all I guarantee. Your dragon eats the live food thus getting the greens nutrients one way or another. As at the end of the day, that's the prime goal. Or just some hard loving...

    Death head roaches as feeders

People who say Dubia don't climb need to state, they CAN climb if its not a smooth surface like a viv wall. But any surface that is not 100% smooth they will climb.

Roach colony - temps to low - need help!

Strange. I use Habistat Heat Strip's (much longer than standard mats) on a habi mat stat and have it on the inside wrapped around the sides. It covers about half of the tub. And I stick the stat probe on the mat directly and set it to 32c and I have 1000's of the things. Been doing it that way...

Best way to heat Dubia enclosure

I have a Heat Strip which goes around about half of the rub on the inside (I have 3 rubs set like this). Connected to a mat-stat set at 31c. And I've had no problems for a couple of years. They breed like crazy. And I have no complaints to the people who buy my roaches.

    Dusting with multi-vitamin

They cant get all the vits and nutrients they need from the live food available, even if gut loaded to the max. Just get the Repashys Calcium Plus, and you don't have to have separate calcium and vits, its all in one. You want your dragon to live long as possible, and giving them the extra...

    Space between the eyes..

Its the width. For example, My adult beardie will eat full adult locust no worries. Obviously these in length are far far greater that the gap between the eye rule. But width, its all good. Same with large crickets and Dubia. No problems, As long as the remember to chew 8)

    New Rankin

Thought I'd update this area of the forums :D . Reason being, I'm picking up a Rankin's Dragon next Friday. 6/7 months old (hatched march this year). I have the set-up all sort, and I cant wait. I'm not a Reptile newbie, I've had rep's for the past 25 years. And still have a 11 year old Leopard...

Is it that bad if I stop feeding live prey?

I dont know if they are available In Canada, as I know there are restriction in various areas (I'm in the UK). But if you can, try Hoppers/Locust or Dubia Roaches. The hoppers are slower, and wont smell bad. And roaches are also awesome. They cant fly, cant jump, cant climb and eat pretty much...

    Shed problem. Please help

You really don't need to bath him everyday (if im reading that right). Maybe only few times a month, if that. Although some use this time as more Beardie/owner bonding, Its really unnecessary. Granted a few extra baths IF a troublesome shed is present, but even then, its stamped in their dna...

picking up beardie poop without gagging?

I suppose depending on substrate you could scoop it up. I have a poop scoop, and I use play sand, so its pretty easy. And I know when Bane is going to poo. He paces around the viv with a slightly black beard.....poop's, then pretty instantly the black beard is OK again and he goes back to his...

What kind of food in the uk can my dragon have

Hi mate. Get Spring Greens, Curly Kale, Wild Rocket, all only £1 (I go Tesco's or Asda). Also Butternut Squash. Mine goes mad for that. I just cut a section of, remove the outer skin, and cut into small chunks. I don't cook it or anything. Stay away from lettuce, its no good for them. Also, not...

    Showers just for fun.

Wont be good. Just stick to the bath. A warm one. Not to deep, so he can move if needed and of course, breathe. Oh, and no soap.
