    UVB bulb alternatives?

So its time to replace my beardies uvb bulb and I found out that my local petsmart (the only place to find the reptisun 10.0 ) discontinued the product. I searched everywhere but I cant seem to find someone in Puerto Rico that sells that darn uvb bulb. I tried contacting several companies to see...

    beardies & crested geckos

I wouldn't even consider handling Crested Geckos a whole lot other than taking him out for cage cleaning as they are more of a display animal.

Can I use this custom gut load for my dubia and supers?

Right now I'm using alfalfa pellets for my roaches with water crystals and whatever leftover veggies my BD leaves. Its cheap so it works for me. I also read somewhere that some guy tested a colony for a couple months with dog/cat food and water crystals and another with alfalfa pellets and...

19 inch adult dragon on superworms.

You can feed phoenix worms as a staple. I feed mine superworms as staple and I personally feed him no more than 5 a day. Also I feed a bowl full of endive and escarole daily (I don't have access to collard or mustards).

feeding list for beardies (whats ok to feed them)

Practically any mix of anything marked as a staple on http://www.beautifuldragons.com/Nutrition.html is a good recipe. I personally vary between collard greens, escarole, endive and butternut squash since those are the only greens I have access to.

No more than 50 per week. Also you want them to be no bigger than the size between your dragons eyes.

How many phoenix worms for an adult dragon?

If its an adult you shouldn't be feeding so many crickets a week. He should be eating around 50 crickets a week so 7-8 crickets plus a salad a day should work better. As for the Phoenix you can feed around 60-65 large worms a week. You only need to dust multivitamin 2 times a week.

feeding list for beardies (whats ok to feed them)

Although lettuce has no nutritional contents, its good for beardies if they are dehydrated or impacted since its mostly water, so I wouldn't say to never feed them lettuce.

Where and how to feed crickets?

You can put a piece of carrot in one side of the enclosure so if any uneaten cricket gets hungry, they will eat that instead of nipping off your dragon.

Does anyone Use a Exo Terra compact Top PT2613?

My dragon is in that same exo terra viv that you bought but I had to make some tweaks to it starting by taking out the background because my dragon kept jumping on it and I was afraid he could get hurt by falling or getting to close to the basking bulb and burning himself and I also wanted to...

How do you avoid handling bugs?

What about geckos? They dont eat as much as bds so you wouldnt need to keep many bugs. Phoenix worms dont need feeding and last a good while if kept in the right temps and they dont need cleaning like pretty much every other feeder.

Try a dimmer and adjust your basking bulb to your desired temps.

    When to give him worms?

I wouldnt give mealworms even after 1yo just because they are not nutritional in any ways and theres much better worms out there you can feed. You can try phoenix worms or better yet, start a dubia colony and join the club :)

How do you avoid handling bugs?

Honestly if you own a bearded dragon at some point you'll end up having to deal with all sort of insects. Just like claudiusx said, maybe bds arent the pet for you and if you really want a reptile you should look into other animals.

    Swapping Crickets for Phoenix Worms

Supers are too high in fat for feeding a growing bearded dragon since they need lots of protein but its okay for feeding an adult.
