beardies & crested geckos

So sad to say my juv beardie malik died about a month ago. Currently looking for beardies really not trying to buy from a pet store again but seems to be the only places thay have them though i havent looked at locsl pet shops ANYWAY also looking to buy a crested gecko and i was wondering how do they do around each other? I always put malik on my chest and he would snuggle up into my neck and id love to have my crested out at the same time. Would the beardie eat it? Do they carry diseases that would kill one another? Any other info on this topic thank you

It's probably not that best idea to have them out at the same time. Obviously it's impossible to tell how every beardie will react, but when bearded dragons tend to see smaller things as food, why risk it? If your beardie did tolerate the crestie being there, there's always the chance that it could put a lot of stress on both of them. I know cresties have a tendency to be pretty jumpy and drop their tails easily so a big beardie out at the same time might freak it out! Both make great pets and I'm sure owning both at the same time won't be a problem, but I wouldn't recommend having them out together.

I wouldn't even consider handling Crested Geckos a whole lot other than taking him out for cage cleaning as they are more of a display animal.
