Definitely don't listen to pet stores or whatever they tell you about them. Bad idea. Also, after awhile, when he/she gets bigger, you should be able to sex her/him. I wasn't able to tell until mine was a certain length. Is so cute and tiny, though. May he/she grow big and strong. :D

I thank you for your speculation. I hadn't considered whether he wasn't in pain when he went. Assuming this is how he did die, it makes it a little easier that he was probably not in any pain. He is now one with the Earth and free of any pain he may have had. <3

Glad to know that he has started a shed. :) A baby tooth brush, as mentioned by Tonja, is a good idea. I didn't do this except give him warm baths when my Pogi was shedding, but a soft bristled tooth brush helps with sheddings. Hope your little beardie grows big and strong. :D

Definitely has to be shedding. My dragon recently did this before his passing and it confused me as well. It went away after a shedding. :)

I haven't been able to bring myself to post anything about it and I didn't get much of a good look the day he died because we buried him right away. Pogi, as said by my Fiance who helped me the day he died, looked bloated, and there were strange markings on his belly around his butt. I'm sorry...

Pogi I got last year before Christmas. I treated him wonderfully. I spoiled him. As of 840pm on Christmas Eve, he is dead... He showed all the signs for Brumation. He was healthy, ate normally. Had no deficiencies. I'm sorry, Pogi. I love you. I will mourn for you.

So I noticed yesterday that my beardie Pogi was curled up in the cool section of his cage, sleeping. I poked a little out of concern because he usually hangs around in the warm section. He didn't respond very much and it's a bit hard to see that his breathing. He did jump a little when I tried...

I don't think it's a bad thing. Just today I finally had my Pogi hand feed. It made me really really happy. I guess some can be picky.
