Hello from the East Coast!

I decided i'd introduce myself since today I took the first step on my path to getting my Dragon!

For years i'd wanted a bearded dragon since holding one at a pet shop. I'd taken care of a lot of different pets, but the husbandry involved with Reptiles intimidated me, there is so much that has to be just so. But around Christmas last year i decided i'm ready! LOL We've been wanting a family pet, and I decided to research everything i can and prepare for a bearded dragon!
I went out today and bought My Reptisun 10.0 UVB light and terrarium hood with an electronic ballast, and a Zoomed mini deep dome ceramic light fixture with a 75 watt bulb (to start) and light bracket!

I was set on adopting an older dragon, but after reading and falling in love with a little one I decided to start small. next step in my 20 gal tank ( for a starter)and all the other bits and pieces. I'm going to the New england reptile show in New Hampshire next month, so i may hold out until the show to get my dragon, i also want everything set up correctly first!

So hopefully in the next month i'll have pictures to post, until then i'll enjoy reading everyone's posts and learning more and looking at pictures!

My name is Josie and I just got started on this .org today. I guess I will have to start posting pics of my
little bd Happy like everyone else. Lol.
We just recently got Happy and things are moving along well.
