    throwing up everything

Hello, I recently acquired a dragon that is an import. Upon arrival he ate superworms and drank a little bit of water. The next morning I noticed he threw up the worms and pooped (feces looks fine). I fed him crickets and he threw those up. I gave him more water and he drank a lot, then when he...

    Mites

    Mites

Hello, I believe my bearded dragon has mites. I was doing some reading regarding mites and I believe I have to disinfect his enclosure completely and change his substrate to newspaper. Also use some kind of medication and spray him with it for a couple of days? I've never had this problem if...

    Tail Rot

I've never had any issues with tail rot. I looked it up a little and found that the only cure is to have it surgically removed. I just caught on to his it's still very small, but I'm pretty sure it's tail rot either way. I just wanted to know my options.

    Question about substrate

You can always make a little dig box for him. As long as he fits comfortably in the box and it fits in the enclosure you can buy vermiculite or even a big bag of mulch. If you do buy the mulch bag you just have to sift out all the bark and stuff and just keep the dirt so it's a little more work...

When should I start a dubia colony?

Yes you can look on eBay I know a couple of people that have bought colonies there. I think everyonce in a while people will post something similar here on this and other reptile forums.

    Not eating

Could be stress from being housed together. I saw this article earlier about housing beardies together you might want to take a look at it. viewtopic.php?f=6&t=154908

    Times

I think I would probably feed him as soon as you get home from school. The only problem I see with feeding him insects late is that they need heat to properly digest their food. I'm not so sure he would get the much needed heat if you fed him and then soon after turned off his lights. As far as...

Beardie won't let us hold him anymore. Please help!

My Hermes did something very similar. When he was young he was very curious and interested in everything, but he still let me handle him and I handled him quite often. After a couple of months, he just didn't like to be handled as much. He would jump down from my hands onto the floor and run off...

When should I start a dubia colony?

You can start whenever you want really. Some people will actually sell pre-made colonies on eBay and other websites online. They're already settled so they're already growing. Basically just gotta keep on feeding the roaches and cleaning their little home. What takes long for some people is to...

    comparison pictures

Some can say he looks too skinny, but that's how my boy, Hermes, looked too. He always ate a ton of insects and veggies and didn't really gain any weight. He did poop a lot though! He kept on growing and growing now he's about 11 months and 19 inches long. Looks like he's finally starting to put...

    2nd clutch?

So my female, Iris, laid her first clutch on 10/25, almost two months ago. I read they usually take from 2-3 weeks to lay again. I beefed her up pretty good thinking this was going to happen, but so far nothing. She just chills in her hide, doesn't even bask much. She eats and poops just fine...

New Owner with a question :)

Some breeders will actually go into a lot of detail specific with colors, but I usually stick to the main morphs/breeds/mutations: German Giants Italian Leatherback Silkbacks American Smoothie Translucents Hypomelanistic or "hypo" Dunner Leucistic Witblits Japanese Silverback Albino Tiger...

    How much?

I would suggest you consider buying and breeding dubia roaches. You'll notice that after a while crickets will get expensive, plus you've already started to experience some of the cons of crickets like the smell and the dead ones. To start off with Dubia might be expensive, but you can look here...
