Tail Rot

I've never had any issues with tail rot. I looked it up a little and found that the only cure is to have it surgically removed. I just caught on to his it's still very small, but I'm pretty sure it's tail rot either way. I just wanted to know my options.

Hi there....right now it may be something you can take care of yourself. Get some Betadine and water it down to look like weak tea. Then get an empty pill bottle or small jar and put the solution in and put his tail in there a couple times a day while your'e holding him. Then after it dries put some antibiotic cream on. It should be fine. If the infection spreads up the tail, then you could see a vet.
