    is this True?

What a dummy! *Does this guy know anything about pets at all? You should tell him/her to keep their sass to themselves! :angry5: It's not about if an animal is wild or not, you can tell if s/he enjoys it, if they don't, they'll let you know. One time Spike kept running away from me, and...

    Power Out! (Hurricane)

Err, for the night, you should try stuffing your beardie in your shirt, head facing upward. S/he should be warm for the night. :D Another suggestion is to find other heat sources, for example my laptop overheats near 85 degrees, whenever I place Spike on it he seems to relax. Do you have a...

Uk based question about bed buddies...

Well I don't live in the UK, but what I've heard is beardies are OK if the night time temp goes down to 17 degrees Celsius. It really shouldn't be a problem since room temp is 18-20. If he falls asleep on you, he'll be very warm and cozy. :D In Colorado it can get down to -24 with heavy snow...

    Sleepy dragon pictures :)

That second picture looked just like Spike a few days ago! Looks like they're both enjoying the log...

    beardie acting strange

It may take a while for him to recover from MBD, but I think the odd behavior is because he wasn't handled much. It may take a while for him to settle down... Is he stressed? Hope this helped, Peter

    Shedding?

If you're worried, give him a bath, but it sounds like he's shedding. Eye bulging is normal, I think its to help them get skin off their eyes. I'm not positive but the grey skin only shows when it is about to come off. Hope this helped. Peter :)

Why would the beard go black??

Don't get too stressed, everything's gonna be alright. Black beard just means he's angry, or feels superior. It's a pretty common sight for male beardies. I don't mean to scare you, but it can also mean he's in pain.

    Lack of color

tyson baloons his body in viv

Usually they inflate to stay afloat while swimming or bathing, but I'm not so sure if it happens out on land. I do see my beardies at it sometimes, maybe for a stretch? :D

    Lack of color

Well, be sure to get that UVB light as soon as possible. If you don't have money (like me) then take him out for natural sunlight for at least 30 minutes every day. I think that is the problem. Sometimes, you don't find the shed, cuz it gets trampled or crushed. Beardies may also shed parts of...

need help making food for my dubias i just bought

Well, you can buy commercial, or blend your own. Some choices include cat/dog food, baby cereal, and a variety of fruits and veggies, particularly oranges. I don't know much either so I'm excited to hear and learn more. :D

    Lack of color

Chillax, everything is going to be all right... :) Are you using Reptisun 10.0, and bathing often? S/he may just be getting ready to shed.

    Spike and Ruby's kingdom

Thanks for the kind comments! Anywho today I was hand feeding them some diced organic mango and grapes, when, for no good reason both of them kept mistaking my fingers for food!!! :? Firstly, Ruby didn't notice that my fingers were not connected to the grapes, but then Spike full on bit my...

Reptisun 10.0 bulb - not tube

Are these ok for beardies? I have a 48" fluorescent tube, but I'm wondering if the bulb is usable. I bought one about 6 months ago and it busted in like 10 minutes for no reason at all... So I got my money back. Why is this? I handled it with gloves, used surge protection, and it wasn't damaged...

    Buddy too "fat"?

Well, a healthy beardie that is bred often should be on the larger side, but you have to make sure she's getting all the nutrition she needs. I wouldn't go overboard with the supers, they tend to be fatty, and my beardies never gets enough. However, if she is becoming obese (use good judgement)...

    Identifying a morph

Genetically speaking, breeding a German Giant with a regular inland should result in offspring about 50/50 that are Giants. Here's some websites that might help a little. http://www.beardeddragons.biz/color%20morphs.htm Recessive genetic disorders include: Hypo: Clear nails mostly light...

Dropping in to introduce myself and my babies (pic heavy)...

Lovely babies, they look so happy and satisfied. I wish I could get moar beardies! :banghead: Clear nails just means they are translucent which is pretty special. You know you really want something when you dream about it.

    Catahoula (Pic Heavy)

That's really sad, RIP Sabre... I'm glad that your Petco has good customer service and all, but unfortunately there's a contagious disease in this part of Colorado, all Pet stores suck! Your new beardie is lovely, I can see a long lived passionate companion. :D

baby crickets everywhere story, and questions.

I would certainly wait until they are larger than pinhead size to use crystals. Try grinding up the crystals into very small pieces, they might not get crushed/stuck. Congratulations on the baby crickets! That is not an easy task... :D Peter

    Dragons have thrills like us

Well, it's long story but my Dragons act high sometimes when I take them out of their enclosures, especially when they roam the garden. They love tunneling through the undergrowth, and running at top speed for long distances. Also, my beardies seem intent on certain maneuvers like sliding on the...
