    Help.....hand caught in mouse trap!

That is awful. Poor little guy. He really should be taken to a vet. Especially if he appears to be injured. Does he use the hand at all? If it is just the hand he will likely be fine long term as long as he is under a vet's care for any complications.

    Faust Before And After!

I love the first pic with his little legs and arms dangling. Too cute!

    Wow, what a difference!

Thank you! I used plexiglass. I think the only real disadvantage is that it can scratch easily.

Please help! My Rosie is dying!

I am so sorry. It was so sad to read and must have been so heartbreaking to experience. It seems she had a wonderful life with you. If it helps, try to focus on that. Again, I am very sorry you lost your sweet Rosie.

Taking Yoshi to the vet tomorrow

AHBD, thank you for the suggestion on using honey. I actually did try it a few days ago, but must have done it wrong because it looked like I glued his eye shut when it dried a bit. Hopefully the eye drops will do well. He seems to look a little more comfortable.

    Random Aggression?

This is going on with my Googlet right now. He is a little calmer today, but was puffing and gaping yesterday like he didn't know me. I couldn't see anything wrong with him so I decided it was due to moving to a new enclosure and being in an unfamiliar environment. Hoping he comes around fully.

Taking Yoshi to the vet tomorrow

I ended up taking him anyway. Vet thinks it may be the beginnings of an upper respiratory and gave me some antibiotic eye drops. Hopefully this will do the trick. Hate seeing the little guy close his watery eye all the time.

    Help-need insulation tips

Hello. Feel free to move this if it belongs in enclosures. I just noticed this morning that the ceiling temperature in the lower enclosure is heating the floor of the upper enclosure. The ceiling of the lower enclosure was 146 degrees and the floor of the upper was 115 at the hottest point. I...

    Behavior Change

Googlet just finished his reptiworms and is basking now. I put my hand in his enclosure to see if he would puff. Instead he pointed his eyes curiously every which way and allowed me to pet him all over like normal without irritation. I will test him later to see if he will still behave. Hoping...

Taking Yoshi to the vet tomorrow

The eye looks a little better this morning. A little watery, but not goopy. He does appear to be shedding around his eye so maybe the irritation was from that. I will keep an EYE  on it the next couple of hours to see if it gets goopy again, but I may cancel his appointment.

    Behavior Change

Hello. I have a behavior concern with my Googlet. Googlet is normally very chill and just a really calm beardie that likes to be out and about and enjoys his snuggles. If some of your read my post in the enclosures section you would know that I moved him into a new slightly larger enclosure a...

Taking Yoshi to the vet tomorrow

Hello everyone. Yoshi is going to the vet tomorrow. His right eye has been weepy/goopy for about a week now and is not getting any better. It actually looked a little worse today and was crusted shut. I don't think it is terrible, but it is obviously uncomfortable so we are going to see if we...

    Wow, what a difference!

Thank you! I bought them new hides today which they have yet to use. I also made and hung fleece hammocks for them. Yoshi is currently snuggled up in his. It is the first soft thing he has every really had.

    Wow, what a difference!

OK. Hopefully these photos work. I am so happy to have my guys in a more appropriate enclosure. This new enclosure is 48x18x18-ish. Before Yoshi was in a 46 gallon bow front aquarium only 36 inches long. Googlet was in a standard 55 gallon aquarium that was 48x12. Far to narrow for his long body...

    Wow, what a difference!

Hello everyone. I just finished building a new double decker beardie enclosure for my boys and moved them into it today. I put all their old decor in so it wouldn't be completely new to them. I also moved their old basking equipment in as well. Previously they were housed in open top aquariums...

What Can I Use Instead Of Sand??

I have used non-adhesive shelf liner in the past. It is cheap and relatively easy to clean. Currently, I am just laying paper towel in their enclosure since it absorbs the waste quickly. Only problem is it is easy for them to shuffle around when they get antsy and their poo misses the mark. I...

Parasite and not moving back legs

Is it possible your beardie is impacted? I know you said its poop has been loose for about two weeks so this makes me think maybe not. However, it may be possible still. When is the last time it had a bowel movement? Try gently massaging its tummy when you give it a bath. If anything is there...

    throwing food

My Yoshi will sometimes throw the greens out of his bowl in order to get to the worms I buried in it. Clever little dude.
