Since I haven't been on here for a couple months, thought I'd post a few new pics of Falkor :) Making a mess, as usual. After he ate. I swear, he's usually not that fat lol New tank/set up - just got put in today.

Need some help with new tank

That's what I was thinking. I moved the glass to the right sight & took the old 30 gal screen to cover the left & clamped lights over it. It doesn't fit perfectly so I'll cover the rest with a 10 gal lid when I'm not around. I think I'm just going to order the screen top I need & cut out the...

Need some help with new tank

Haven't been on here in awhile but I just upgraded my tank from a 30gal to a 100gal yesterday. I got the new tank plus a huge box of supplies for only $50 so obviously, I'm not really complaining haha. The only thing I don't like about it is, the top is in 3 parts. There is only one part that is...

    Snake doesn't like me?

I'm okay with giving him live mice, he seems to like that more. He refused to eat anything that doesn't move so we did try moving the pinky mouse with one of those long tongs & he's more interested in attacking that instead of the mouse. Last Tuesday was the first day of feeding him since my...

    Upgrading Tank Need Ideas!

I would definitely get something with a bigger hide spot for him... Looks like he can barely fit in that hole. (:

    Advice on heat

I used a heat mat for mine when he was a baby because it got too cold at night. I got one of those that stick underneath the tank & then I would put an extra layer of carpet over it on the inside. Never burned him & it kept the carpet warm. You could also try a low night heat bulb. Just put it...

    Couple Questions...

    1. My beardie's humidity has been staying at 0%. It's been quite cold here lately so I've had to turn on an extra heat lamp for him to keep his heat up but even that's only been keeping it at 90. I've been sprayin him down like I usually do & then I give his tank a misting to boost up the...

BD wont drink from bowl! Help me...

You'll rarely ever see a beardie drink from the bowl. Give him a daily spray with warm water and a warm bath once a week. When you spray them, you'll notice that they lick their nose or something in their tank... that's them drinking water.

    Snake doesn't like me?

Well, we only pick him up after feeding to put him back in his tank. We have several books on them & they all tell us that if you're just putting the snake back in it's tank after feeding, it's fine. We always handle him very gentley afterwards. And no, he has never regurgitated. As for the...

    Dragon shedding skin.....

It's a defense mechanism, so predators can't track their smell in the wild. Completely normal.

NEW Dragon owner, need feeding advice please

Babies should be fed crickets every day, 3 times a day, as much as they will eat in a 10-15 minute period. Veggies should be offered daily, even if they wont eat them... they will eventually. Fruits can be offered 2-3 times per week. Worms are not suitable for babies so try to stay clear from...

Can a beardie co-exist with a another reptile?

I've seen that before. Eh, it's just the way of life & he just happened to be at the bottom of the food chain. I personally would never feed my dragon a live lizard, mouse maybe because I watch them die every week due to my snake. I almost cried the first time I fed my snake... but just got over...

    Feeding Help

I would say that it is an adult, you probably wont be able to get the exact age. Adults range from 15-24 inches. The proper diet for an adult is both insects and veggies, rotating days. (Insects one day, veggies the next). Calcium should be dusted onto them once a week. Feeding them crickets...

    Hand feeding

Yep. I used to when he was a baby along with his kale... It helps them gain trust, I would say. If you have cricket tongs, it makes it a lot easier. But if he doesn't want it, don't force him. Sometimes it takes a few tries for them to start eating out of your hand but eventually, they will.

Can a beardie co-exist with a another reptile?

Definitely not... If you can't stick another beardie in with it's own kind without there being a risk then putting something else in there would just be dangerous to both animals.
