sorry to hijack the thread, i have a plastic tub like that one only larger. the heat mat i have covers the entire bottom of my tub but the temps are still too low. i considered using a CHE but i figured that it would melt the tub and at the very least the ceramic fitting gets very hot in itself(...

i have vents in the top, what would i insulate the sides with and would i do it on the outside or the inside? and the container i would sit it in would have the lid off? would attatching a heat pad to the side help? sorry for so many questions

hi i am sorting out my dubia enclosure and before getting the dubia i setup the tank and have discovered that my 40w heat pad will only heat my tub up to 75 degrees at night and 80 degrees in the day.... these temps will be lower sometimes aswell and dubia need constant temps of 75-95. my 40 w...

ok ive bought a background for my vivarium, the back wall of my viv is wooden so i need to attach it on the inside. im not sure how im going to do this, i need something that wont melt under the heat of the basking light and to stop his live feeds getting underneath it and hiding. any ideas?

ok ive bought a CHE because the nights are getting nippy. now ive just heard you cant use them in a normal lamp holder :( my CHE is only 60W does this still mean i need to buy a special fitting???

right so i went for the t rex repti harness, the small one(only size i could get quickly). it fits him snuggly but i will very soon have to get the medium one. but i am glad to say Fred acts completely normal on the harness. such a lovely lil chap :mrgreen: thanks for all your help
