If the little guy was in your superworms then you have a mealworm colony too. Where did you buy your superworms as I have had the same thing in my superworms....growing mealworms and not superworms......I started out with 2K supers to start a colony and feed my dragons...now I have a supers...

I always use Gregs exotic inverts. Seems to packaged really well (not loose in a box like some others are. Not saying kyle or honda do this but...still prefer Gregs as he is cheaper for the most part and at least equal quality.

I just received a shipment that had heat packs in them...even though I dont think it was needed where I live but they where included.

if you plan to feed them to your BD in the future you might want to raise them yourself and if you do that then starting early is best as they take a few months to really get going.

I just had about 20 die...probably my fault. I had not checked them in a couple days and when I did there were about 8 dead the first day and a couple died every day for about 5 days there after. I needed to cycle the air in the room and failed to do so for a couple of days so my fault...

how long since you placed them into the box to reproduce....and how long have they been dead. It takes about 30 days after the beetles are almost black before you see the little guys crawling around....

You would have to do one of two things if you did pheonix worms....build an enclosure large enough to contain Black Soldeir Flies in order to get their larva (pheonix worms) or be in an area that BSF live and thrive in and build a BSF container in order for the females to lay their eggs.

I use a incubator when it is not in use with bearded dragon eggs as a controlled temperature 84 degrees for forcing super worms into morphing. I put them in baby food containers with holes drilled into the lids as a separating container.
