    Deep Brumation?

Thank you. I do keep the lights on the normal routine and I do bathe them when they brumate. I have her in her tank with the lights going. I will take her to work with me tomorrow and listen to her with a stethoscope. Thanks again with all your help.

    Deep Brumation?

Thanks for your reply. I think she is gone now. No signs of breathing. Tried putting her in a warm bath and nothing.

    Deep Brumation?

My 2 usually go into a light brumation. Don't eat or move for a few months. But when you held them, they responded. My female Jet was in, what looked like her brumation. But when I checked her because of no movement, she wouldn't respond. I did everything and nothing. Thought she was gone...

    Gotta Love Her Smile!

Jet(also known as jiggly puff) always seems to appear to have a smile on her face. It fits her personality so much...happy girl. This is Rex. A handsome fellow! Just had to share a photo of our newest, non beardie, addition. This is our cute little Griffin. A Crested Gecko. Joyce

    Rex and Jet

So sorry about Pulma. Congrats on Thor. He does sound like a monster...growing so fast. You must have a photo of him here? I get a little busy sometimes. I did post when Rex was having trouble and not eating. Took him to the vet and he had pinworms. Totally went off crickets and now only eats...

Sleepy 7 month old Dragon, brumating?

My Rex was doing the same thing. He was hiding under his Repticarpet. He started eating less and less. I thaught some kind of brumation also. When he stopped eating completly for 4 days, we took him to the vet. At first she thaught maybe Rex was a girl, but ruled that out. While we waited for...

    Will No Longer Eat Crickets

Thanks for the info! People will always have different opinions on what is good and not good. I guess it will depend on each individual animal. I have birds and are fed fresh fruit and veggies along with some seeds. I was told an all seed diet was bad. Well before I knew this I fed my Amazon an...

    Will No Longer Eat Crickets

Thank you to all. After reading through some of the posts, I do see that a lot of beardies go through this. I rasied this question at the latest reptile and my daughter heard one answer she didn't like and is now afraid. This person said that beardies don't live as long if fed supers as a...

    Will No Longer Eat Crickets

My 8 month old, Rex, has not been eating crickets for about a month( Ithink) now. He was a massive eater of crickets. He now closes his eyes if he sees a cricket...like, "I don't see any crickets...do you?" He is being so stubborn. He eats supers with no problem. Has been turned off by...

Can I feed Superworms as a staple?

That is the only thing I can think of. Since his UVB is 5 1/2 months old. He does want to eat the Superworms(loves them), but has not pooped in 2 days. I do think his lack of going is due to his lack of eating. He ate baby food for me today aslo. I will replace his UVB tomorrow with the same one...

Can I feed Superworms as a staple?

HIs warm side is 108 degrees. The cool side 75 degrees. I am using a digital probe. Is the 108 to warm now that he is 7 months old? He is due for a new UVB in March. It is 5-1/2months old. His current one is a Repti Glo 10.0 coil. He has had no issues with his UVB, so I figured I wait until his...
