    Mo-Jo (1 year) sleeping & cool end help !

My girl ALWAYS had that problem. She would eat, ok. Latley she had started to sleep a lot and was getting dingy. I bought a 100 Watt Trex MVB and bump up the temps in general. Temperature gradient is key! I now have her cool spot (under her log) at 88. That is the coolest area in her viv. She...

    bath time q?

luke warm water, for about 15-20 mins. Make sure its not too deep. Up to their elbows is good, as long as it covers the base of the tail. Younger I would bathe more often, daily if possible. My adult I still bathe about 3X week. I dont offer dishes of water though, seems tough to keep clean. I...

Is there an MVB out there that is safe to use? I have a Reptisun 10.0 but its 12 inches away from the basking site. I was thinking of building up the basking site, but it just looks tacky. Im hoping to find an MVB to use

    Question on Humidity

Living in Florida I am sure you will have A/C in the house? Otherwise I imagine you would ROAST lol With A/C running in the house, it will keep humidity down. I am in texas and humidity never gets more than 35% in the viv. (measured from digital thermometer)

Bearded Dragon newbie, please have a look at my setup

105 is a good temp for a beardie, just didnt know how you were measuring the temp. I didnt see a thermometer pictured. as far as MVB, i havent used them personally. I hear mixed reviews so I stick to the Reptisun 10.0 Also have read that its best to have the UVB stretch the entire enclosure...

    Roach colony, advise please!

I think I want to start a Roach colony. I am reading a little bit about the care, and it doesn’t seem difficult or high maintenance. My only concern is I will be leaving for 3 weeks in June. Could the roaches survive if I leave enough food? I would offer water in the water dispenser with a paper...

Sleepy 7 month old Dragon, brumating?

My girl Stella is also big for her age. She is almost 500 grams and is 10 months old. About 3 months ago she started doing the same thing as yours did. She wouldn’t eat, started hiding and being lethargic. Turns out she had coccidia. I took her to the vet and she got treated. Then after a CLEAN...

    live plants

Im setting up stellas new viv and I want to get some foliage in there. I thought about getting the plastic plants, but is there a way I could live ones? Like maybe some cactus? Or would she eat it (which I hear it’s a good staple haha) I have a little sand box in her viv, maybe I could plant it...

Bearded Dragon newbie, please have a look at my setup

you have his basking spot at 41 C, which is about 105 F, how is this measured. Seems he would be gaping at this temp? do you use a temp gun or a thermometer (cant see one pictured) I agree a ceramic heat emitter is needed in place of the blue bulb. You say the cool side of his viv is 15 C or...

Sleepy 7 month old Dragon, brumating?

What substate are you using? What veggies are you feeding? I would continue to offer a variety of greens daily as well as (dusted) crickets and worms. With a young dragon it is hard to over feed them since they are growing like weeds! This site is very helpful. I recommend clicking the "care...

    shes goin craaazy

my beardie does that when I change something her viv. She is a little sensitive to change, what a diva. I do not have much knowledge of "toys" for a dragon, but I have things for mine to climb on. And you dont want to clutter the viv will tons of stuff, she still needs room to stretch. a...

    Basking light question please

Are these glass vivs or custom wooden ones? Are you planning on placing them directly on top of eachother? or with some space in between? I would be a little concerned about ventilation if you are stacking them. Plus its better to have the light coming from above as opposed from the side. I also...
