beardie doing some unusal stuff

hi, my bearded dragon is currently gravid but she wont let her eggs in her laybox. she will only lay in her vivarium (which has a paper towel substrate). if i put her in her lay box, she will begin digging but will quickly lose interest and would try to jump out. anyone know what might be the cause of this?

Maybe she is not use to the laybox so she is getting scared of it? Is there anyway to put the laybox in the tank? or maybe but some soil and such in the tank.

last year she layed her eggs in it without any problems. i don't know why she wont do it now. i cant get the lay box in, it's too wide.

My bearded dragon just laid eggs and she wouldn't use her lay box either. I even tried putting it inside. She just wanted to lay in a specific corner and on the vinyl tile. And so that's how it went. Sometimes the best you can do is try to provide the right spots and if they don't want to use them, that's their choice. Frustrating, but not much to be done. Just let her lay them and remove them quickly. Mine had NO problem with me removing them right as she laid them. She even saw me do it but didn't care.
