    I'm so mad D:

Yup, I know exactly how you feel. I'm always livid when watching those things. It really does illustrate how cruel people can be, how cruel and unthinking. You know, it could be worse though. I was at my cousin's house for xmas last year (now mind you, he's 25, not a 14 yr old). He waved me...

    Is my beardie a hypo?

That's what I was sure about, but I've never seen a hypo in real life, so I had nothing else to compare her to. Thanks for the help!

    Is this a leatherback?

No, don't do it. That's way too expensive. I'm sure you could get one shipped overseas to you for that price!

    Is this a leatherback?

Looks like one to me. Had to say without knowing what the parents were though. Like the above poster said, it could easily just be a dragon with reduced scales and not the genetic marker that makes a leatherback.

    Beardie anatomy for newbies please!

Here's a morphological overview of the basic lizard. It will give you an idea of where things are on our beardies. I don't think anybody's ever diagrammed the location of fat pads, however.

Haha! I'll tell you a story. When I first named Khan, he wasn't Khan at all. His first name was Bruce. I tried to make it work and it just didn't, I happened to pick an ill-fitting name. I don't want the same thing to happen with this one. Some of my friends still call him bruce. Lol.

Haha, it means Grendel's just that much more interesting. Maybe he thought he'd try Hypo out but then changed his mind?

    Is my beardie a hypo?

The breeder said, "het for hypo" but I'm not so sure. Curious minds want to know  (won't make her any more or less special to me, however) Sorry that I couldn't get closer up in this pic: What do you think?

new to forum looking for some help in identifying my beardie

Just to be honest, as a buyer, I wouldn't pay that price unless you had pictures of his clear toes and a little more about his history. I hope it works out for you though! :) All the best!

Silk Envy *Day 2 pics, pg 18*

She still remains nameless! I really want to make certain of her personality before I put a name to her, but it's proving quite difficult! For instance: Today, I brought her out. She sat on my hand for a while and then decided to leave. I kept moving my hand so that she had to stay on it, but...

If his nails are clear then he is most likely a hypo. He looks like a hypo pastel to me, but as Gail said, we can't know for certain what he is exactly without knowing the genetics of the parents. Are you going to sell him?

Wow! I love parrotlets! They are super adorable and tiny. You know, birds are really super smart and I always find it amazing how they think. I used to rehab crows and sheesh, they always gave me a run for my money! It's also super cool that you rescued two of them. Definite good karma there! Do...

    bearded dragon growth?

I picked up a white light, broad-spectrum basking bulb from petco (sunglo halogen bulb). Make sure you get the wattage appropriate for your tank! Too high and you'll cook your dragon. I'm not an expert on basking bulbs though. I just make sure it's a white light bulb and that it's broad spectrum.

So do you have an african grey then? That's a pretty smart association! What sort of birds do you have? Curious minds!
