Surface Temps vs. Air Temps So which are you supposed to measure? I have a temp gun I've been using and have been measuring surface temperatures on various spots in the viv. So do we want air temperatures to be 105F at basking spots, or surface temperatures? -Phil

When you get too many male Dubia, it's good to feed the extras to make the ideal ratio...seems to me that you would want to feed off the old ones first, and let the younger males have a go at the girls. My question is: Is there any way to tell old ones from young ones?

I think they are ear holes... :wink: Anyway, my beardie has little touches of pink near the end of his lips, right under and a bit around his ear holes...he's had it since I got him, just trying to figure out if its just some natural coloring or something else. He's a normal phase.

I'm just curious... I was at Lowes in the bulb aisle and they had a ton of variety...They have all the same sizes, wattages etc. that would fit in my dragons light fixtures... My question is: Is there a difference between the pet marketed bulbs and the ones you can get for house hold use?
