    few cricket questions

You can buy 'cricket food' from pet stores. Normally comes in like a gel. It provides water and food for the crickets, I would still put a piece of fruit in for them to eat too. I mainly use slices of apple. Grind up dog or cat food and put it in a little container aswell

New kind of bulb from Zoomed??

Haha, just imagine all the older offices which are running T12s. It is for the better though, just as CFLs will be replacing incandescent light bulbs. The newer florescent tubes and electronic ballasts work way more efficiently. Im sure youve tried to turn on a fluorescent fixture in the cold...

energy saver Coil Lights for extra lights

Im guessing your talking about just a regular 13w cfl for example. Shouldnt be a problem, they can give off a nice bright light which brings out colors

New kind of bulb from Zoomed??

The T8 will physically fit into your T12 fixture. The pin configuration is similar. Difference is the diameter... T12s are 12/8ths of an inch in diamter, which is an inch and a half. T8s are 8/8ths which is.. you guessed it one inch :D It is not recommended because the ballast in your T12...

    Is this the bulb??

yeah easy to assume that, type CFLS in the search and read some of the related posts. The outputs aren't as high and effective. If you are going to go with a CFL and not tube, than go with the reptisun for sure, the reptiglos are garbage. Also, the UVB rays are only effective within a certain...

    ReptiSun 5.0 or 10.0?

Id say go with the 10.0 The difference is mainly the intensity of the UVB output

    Is this the bulb??

I would still stray away from using CFLS. The reptisun tubes are much better

    Cricket contaner

I have the big kricket keeper. Works fine for me, Havent had any escapes. I took two of the four tubes out. Bottom is lined with Corn Cay.. its works great to keep the moisture down which can kill your crickets. Id say out of every 100 crickets only 1 or 2 die

    Cricket/viv problem! Help?

I use a dish to feed him in, dont drop all the crickets onto it at once because he wont be able to eat them all before some manage to hop away. It works great i put 4 or 5 down at a time.. the odd one does escape but not very often. Pretty funny whenever Thor sees me open the door with the dish...

    Glass vs Plexi

I used plexi and would recommend it, paid about 30 bucks for a 4x2 sheet. Its really not very difficult to cut. I used a high speed multi cutter and just free handed it, cut very slow on the line and you wont have a problem

I'm making a cage and want to know what you guys think for 1

That should be fine, My viv is 4x2x2.. anything around that size should be sufficient for a full grown beardie. Ive read on here some people prefer not to put a baby or juvie in something that big, I did and haven't had a problem
