we used a mix of sawdust and oats, it worked wonders, we had them in a 210gallon drum cut in half and when u touched the surface everything would start wriggling, add pieces of bread in there as well for them to eat.

Spike and Cloe do the same except instead of seeing themselves they see crickets :P run right past the crix and into the glass :shock:

Is it possible to take them away with u on holiday in "smaller" "travel" tanks, as i will be going on holiday in april and i dont trust anyone to look after our 2 babies as they are still young? Would this be a good idea or not????

Cool thanks Taryn I bought 2 Beardies from the JHB Expo and so far i am having great fun with them rather different to what i am used to (boas) but even the missus is on board with me with her own little beardie.

yup starting my colony today :P hope it will take off well. Also looking at breeding silkworms got 10 so far so soon i might be able to supply :P

I am doing some research before i get my beardie and i wanted to know roughly how much u guys spend on one per month, how many crickets do they eat a week and which powders do u use and how much do they cost? i know the initial cost of it all its just these costs i want to find out. Thanks Karl
