The wood in your house is likely pressure treated, so I wouldn't feed the termites to your beardie.

    Dragon Not Interested in BSFL?

Dragons have likes and dislikes. My dragon loved BSFL and butterworms then the next order decided he didn't like the BSFL at all and will eat the butterworms reluctantly. Roaches get devoured every time however. So far he has refused crickets too but loves his veggies. Some are picky, some not...

    Cricket Larvae

It was a Dermestis beetle larvae, most likely. Harmless to your dragon. Dermestis beetles eat just about anything that is animal matter. They are eating the shed exoskelatons of the crickets and the dead one's too. They will also eat feathers, hides, leather, horn and on and on.

    Mercury Vapor bulbs

My beardie, Stubs, just got a bigger home and I want to get him a mercury vapor bulb. One site I looked at has 3 different brands, Exo Terra Solar Glo, T-Rex Flood Active UV Heat Bulb or Zoo Med PowerSun. Is there a difference between the brands? Is one better then the others? Thanks

what about using roaches as a staple but not breeding

Unless you seprate male roaches from the females they are going to breed. You don't have to do anything special to get them to breed. If you are going to keep them for feeders they are going to breed.
