I use baby carrots (cut in half) and replace them daily. Mine are in a "bedding/food" of oatmeal and grape nuts(cereal). I had an order of 250 from great lakes hornworms and I did not have a SINGLE one die! I only have about 10 of those 250 left and they are just as lively as the day I got them.

Last winter we sucked it up and went to the pet stores..but even there. It was slim pickings....and the bugs were ughggh. This year we are breeding supers and hornworms....roaches IF I can talk my hubby into them :) Btw...I like that you plan ahead...because I'm not a great planner....and...

LOL...we also have a beardie named Leia....and we had a one named Vadar that passed. I think when we get another male...hubs is going to name it Rankor...ugh

Her name is Braxas (we call her Brax). We got the name from heroscape....Braxas is a female dragon that spits acid...she is black and gold and tough...lol

How big is your dragon? He/she definately can't handle them? There's no chitin..so as long as they can swallow it...I think it should be fine...and filling..lol

Just curious! What are you breeding? How long have you been breeding those? On a scale of 1-10 (10=insanely difficult) how hard were they to breed? Anything you would like to try to breed in the future? How many dragons do you have...or how many "mouths" do you feed :)
