We just got a bearded dragon off craigslist. When we went to pick "him" up...we could tell that he truly was well loved...BUT his previous owners did not have any good info as to what "good" care was. "Wart" was in a 40 gallon breeder, on sand, with his only light being from a "plant" light. Poor little dude smelled terrible!
I decided to hold him for our half hour drive home and he was such a sweety! As soon as we got home I took a few pics...then put his stinky little bum in a nice warm bath. That's when we discovered that he was a SHE and needed a name change! (Ya can't call a girl wart...lol)
He she is before her bath.
The first day home she refused to eat anything...but on day 2 it was like she'd always been here..she was ready for whatever we gave her. She is chomping down supers and hornworms...and just tolerating the fact that there are fresh veggies in her viv everyday. She was pretty surpised to be put into a clean viv..with NO sand...she honestly seems lost..but now she'll all good! She has been here since Tuesday...here' what she looks like now...
