My beardy is dragging his back legs/ stiff back legs?

Here's the thing. First off. If proper research was done ahead of time then none of those issues wouldnt have been there. Yes. Pet stores always give bad info and sell bad products. Believing them was the first mistake. And it's well known. Second was getting sub par equipment because it was...

Beardie not very active or eating? Brumation?

All great advice. My only addition is they also need the brightest white (kelvin not wattage) to protect their eyes from the uvb. I personally use a 7w led that I got at home depot for $2. It's kelvin rating is 5700 which is excellent. And it also doesn't produce heat in a significant amount...

My beardy is dragging his back legs/ stiff back legs?

Not trying to sound mean here. But you may want to be a little more responsible with your pets. You've had one die. You acquire a pet without the proper equipment to take proper care of it. It seems you cannot afford to feed your pet properly also. Another living things entire life is in...

My beardy is dragging his back legs/ stiff back legs?

There seems to be many things that need adjusting. Start with that uvb light. Get the tunes mentioned above. Also if night heat is an issue you need to use a ceramic heat emitter as ANY light at night will cause health issues. They need sleep. What are your Temps and ranges? How are you...

Beardie baby won't poop in viv

Hello everyone. Not that this is a worride post or anything just kinda interesting. Has anyone ever had or heard of a bearded dragon just about refusing to poop in their enclosure? My first one didn't do that he just went wherever. This is my second and he seems to actually hold it till I...

    Modeling clay inside vivarium

I plan on using the non toxic children's clay. And will use a natural color so dye isn't a worry either. My tiles are cut right to fit but the silicone causes a small gap and I'm a perfectionist. Lol. I don't leave bugs in there either but it's fun to let him hunt and the roaches go right for...

    Juvenile bearded dragon stressed out?

You should probably see a vet about some antibiotic for the wound. He could be stressed just from the move but he was also loved before you got him and that is stress too. A lot of times once an animal realizeshops that an area is his they will get more reclusive in it for a bit. Also. The...

    Modeling clay inside vivarium

Hello everyone. So I use ceramic and slate tiles in all my vivs. Something that always bugged me was the edges of the Viv there's always a small gap. Never wanted to use sand to fill the gap bit feeders can hide there. Anyone ever use modeling clay for this purpose. Any opinions on how it...

    Dubia vs crickets

No I'm not sure of exact age. But he is exactly 8 inches long tip to tip. Measured last night. Good news is I went to work this am and before I left I put 30 roaches in his dish. Come home to only 8 left. Solid poop. And he's just resting on one of his 3 favorite spots he seems to have...

    Dubia vs crickets

He is young. About 7 inches. Maybe 8. So maybe four to five months. He had a little diarrhea too but I know this could be change of home. Stress. Any number of things. He is otherwise acting like a healthy curious little dragon. I bring him out to offer once a day and leave always have an...

    Dubia vs crickets

OK. So my main question is how many dubias should a baby be eating. I have a new juvenile beardie for 3 days now. I had a beardie in the past and fed crickets as a baby. Well. This time around I am using dubia as a staple. He (I think) has eaten only about 7-11 per day so far. Of course...

    Under tank heater question

It is a copy diction us bit yes. But it will radiate off of the surface being warmed also. I use this exact method on my roach bin and keep the whole thing a toast 85 degrees always. So I know for a fact it works. I'm more concerned if there is any safety issues for my dragon really.

    Zilla power center

Any decent surge protector that has a damage liability warranty and a joules rating will not work once it absorbs a surge. That is part of the design. That way you cannot reset a possibletter fault and cause damage to things you thought were protected.
