Heating & Lighting my beardie tank

If your willing to spend that much money on the bulb, i would just get a megaray. http://www.reptileuv.com And yes you will need the deep dome if u do get a megaray. hope this helps. The megaray will last about a year, some people say more. I believe the temp needs to stay at about 65, if you...

    Facts About Megaray?

It is a 10" dome that i have. Im just worried that the bulb would be to big since its going to sit on a screen, i dont want the bulb touching the screen. If its about the same as a spotlight like you would use in motion lights i guess i could test one of thoes. It looks simular to one anyway...

    Facts About Megaray?

Is it true these bulbs are larger than normal ones. I have a good fixture, it can hold up to 660W lol But its only 7" from within the socket to the edge. i was wondering how big exactly the fixture would have to be for a megaray? thanks in advance.

Finally all done with my viv setup!!

I have to agree with seadooz, if you type in walnut bedding in the top search, everything comes back negative. I would also reccomend using a digital thermometer, just to be sure you got the temps right. Very nice viv btw.

    lllreptile.com?

Yeah im right in the middle at 55. Im worried that if i get the 100w megaray or trex that it wont be able to keep the basking spot warm enough, my room gets down 65-70 degrees at night, but in the summer its constantly hot and i dont want to get the 160w and have it be to hot in the summer...

Yeah ive thought about that, where does everyone get their Megarays??? and is it true you have to have a deep dome fixture if your putting a megaray directly on the screen top? would 100w suffecently heat the basking spot at about 15"? this site is as addictive as crack :D

    55 Gallon Aquarium

Thanks for the advice. That bulb runs a little more on price, but it says they can last 10,000 hrs, thats over a year. OR are they like regular UVB bulbs that have to be replaced about every 6 months? thanks again.

    55 Gallon Aquarium

I have a 55 Gallon Aquarium I am looking to put a BD in within a few weeks or so. I’m worried that since the tank is about 20” tall he wouldn’t be able to get close enough to the UVB or to his heat lamp. I was hoping to see pic’s or ideas people have come up with so that I can get him closer to...

    Soon-to-be BD owner :D

Hello Everyone, I will be hopefully getting my first BD from a local rescue in mid December. Before I do so I wanted to get a few things taken care of. The adoption fee of the one I am looking at is $30. This struck me as a great deal. The owner said he is about 3-4 Years old. I am curious if...
