    Infertal egg?

This morning, we found what I thought was a spot of urate in Mia's tank. When we cleaned it out, it was hard and when squeezed, seemed to leak a yellow substance. Would this be an infertal egg? She has been overly active over the past week and has been trying to dig through the tiles in her...

    dubia in Ca!

I am in southern California and looking to get rid of a large dubia colony. I have one bin of breeding adults and some babies and another bin of small to medium dubia. These are for pick up only as I do not want to deal with shipping in the winter months. Thanks, john

    Possible New Dragon Owner. Question....

Be sure to use a digital thermostat in your enclosure. At night, the temps should not drop below 65 deg. F. If your enclosure has the potential to droo beyond this temp, then you can look into a CHE (ceramic heat emitter). Basically screws in like a bulb, but heats without any light. The...

    SuperWorms for beardies

Id be curious to hear of an amount to feed your beardies. One of ours is over a year and the other is just under a year, but both love supers. We give them a few with their salad and another 6 or so for dinner....I hope this is okay. They always seem to want more afterwards....

Room light as to not disturb bearded dragon

We cut blinds to the length of the enclosure and hung them horizontally on the front of their tanks using 3M hooks. It worked great.

    Cross Fire Door Alternatives

I know you can use Plexiglas or glass and hinges. This would create a transparent door that would open up or down. You can use a simple gate type lock on the door to keep it from opening during closed operation..... I don't have any pics as I have the sliding doors, but the concept of hinges...

WHo uses a 40 gallon breeder tank?

The 18" is wide for a tank.... Most fish tanks measure 12"-13" wide. The 18" wide reflects the breeder name. I'm not sure other specs than possibly the glass rating that would classify the tank as a breeder. I have not seen seen a 40 gallon with a smaller width either though, of course I...

    care sheet

Any recommendations to the best care sheet for cresties. They look like great intermediate pets? Only say intermediate because I heard they are a bit jumpy as opposed to a beardie....... Considering a crestie and just want to ensure we will be able to provide all their needs.... Thanks

    stunting growth....

I believe it slows growth. We rescued a 1.5 yr old beardie from a 20 gallon tank. He was about 14" and since we've had him, upgraded his enclosure, and fed him better he's grown to over 17" now.

WHo uses a 40 gallon breeder tank?

Fyi, we had two that each had a small table from walmart. Spent about $25 on the table and it was of perfect height and table top size......

Alternate Staple feeder-Until Dubia Colony is Up

I do not have much longer until my colony iw established, but had the same dilemma. I actually liked having supers as feeders much better than crix. My beardies have pretty much dusted their hands of crix since having supers, but I am within a month of feedeling from my roaches. The part I do...

What is going on at ReptileUV?!

I see you are in Irvine. I have an ad in craigslist for my MegaRay 100W SB that I received in May and used until mid July. If you are looking for a MegaRay 100W SB that appeared to be working fine, let me know. I'm in the Lake Elsinore area and will be traveling through Anaheim on Saturday...

    Superworm questions

I purchased a small cat dish that is smooth, somewhat deep and has a beveled rubber type material on the outside. This works great for putting salad and worms in. They get close, but haven't had one escape yet. I think they were about $2-$3 at Petco.....
