I don't see why it would hurt. I mean the pinky is fattening but, if she needs it. Can you get dubia roaches or silk worms they are more healthy and have more meat then crickets do.
Hi I was wondering if the leather back gene is is dominant. Could you breed a leather back to a normal and produce 50/50 half leather back half normal?
it's the weather... just offer a salad.. thats the process I am taking my beardie is 7 mos and he isn't eating any insects and hardly any salad at all but, I offer it to him. I am sure your beardie will come around as soon as the weather changes. This is the type of year where food is scarce in...
yes I started out with crix and was spending allot of money every month. So I invested in 2 types of roaches a lobster roach and a Dubia roach species. Now I have so many roaches I don't know what to do with them. Lobster roaches are prolific breeders. They actually breed faster then dubia. IMO...
Wax worms are very high in fat and should only be used as a treat supers and mealies are treats also. The calci worms, phoenix and reptiworms even silk worms can be used as a staple. I personally choose roaches they are very high in protien and have more of a meat to shell ratio then crickets.
yeah I just warmed them up and fed them real good before I introduced them. I didn't want any canabalism because she said they haven't eaten in like a month. They ate a whole banana and a couple trays of roach chow. Soon as I put it in the tub they swarmed it. Thanks for the response!
usually a ceramic heat emitter works best for night time heat. The infrared bulbs tend to irritate the dragons. My house stays 69 to 71 at night during the winter. They can withstand about 65 but, I wouldn't go any lower then that.
the only real feeder you can go wrong with is a feeder that is too large for your beardie. Thats how I see it. I started out on crickets went to dubia roaches now I feed Lobster roaches and reptiworms.I just picked up about a 7 inch beardie a couple days ago and she is eating dubia roach nymphs...
