Recently, my male has slowed down his movements and is not eating reguarly. Trying to figure out what may be the cause. He still seems to be in fairly good health and is usually alert.

-Eating is slower
-Moving is slower
-Main diet is repcal adult bearded dragon food.

Thanks

it's the weather... just offer a salad.. thats the process I am taking my beardie is 7 mos and he isn't eating any insects and hardly any salad at all but, I offer it to him. I am sure your beardie will come around as soon as the weather changes. This is the type of year where food is scarce in the wild and they usually brumate (hibernate). Don't worry you could always turn lights out like an hour and a half early. Mine usually goe sto bed at 8pm when lights go out.. now he's crashing at like 6:30 so i just shut the lights off. winter time means shorter days. Make sure you are doing a soak so he stays hydrated. Soak in warm water not scalding hot but water that you would give a human baby a bath in. This is a funny time of year for all reptiles. They know seasons better then we do even in captivity.

70 degrees on the cool side seems a bit to cool IMO. whats your night time temp?

im sure its that time of year for your beardie though...

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
