hinged door instead of slidding glass

I am a well expierenced carpenter and builder of custom cages. Sliding glass panels are way easier to install than building a cabinet door is. Another disadvantage to the hinged door is that you WILL smash many crickets in them creating a mess.

    Can eggs be transported?

it is at least a 25 hour a week commitment, lot's of babies = lots of mouths = $$$$$$$ (establish a couple roach bins first), my electric bill for my small 2 bdrm home (850 sq') is 176 on the budget plan (with gas heat), and it is a lot of work to build a reputation as a quality breeder. plan on...

sometimes, i miss having just one

As I was feeding my 6 permenant bearded reptlian residents with my son this morning (and after picking up 3,000 crix and 1,000 supers yesterday, 2-3 weeks of bugs at my house), I really miss just having Pyro. When 1,000 crickets lasted a month not a few days, when my greens actually had time to...

I think sand is better for my bearded dragon

physically, I feel sand is safe, however, I also find it extreemly UNSANITARY. The enclosures we keep dragons in captivity are simply too small for using sand. As a breeder, I have been to several other breeders homes and anyone who's setups have sand in them are foul, and the dragons are much...

So I was at Lowes and happened to walk by the light bulbs and noticed something...Mercury Vapor Bulbs for $16.95! Now before I get too excited, has anybody ever used these or tested there uvb output? I'd be tickled pink if I could buy a couple cases of these and be set for a year or so with uvb...

Here is a picture of my new babies, I must say I am quite pleased with the results. I'll get some of mom and dad up later. And as always, the camera just can't quite capture all the color.
