sometimes, i miss having just one

As I was feeding my 6 permenant bearded reptlian residents with my son this morning (and after picking up 3,000 crix and 1,000 supers yesterday, 2-3 weeks of bugs at my house), I really miss just having Pyro.
When 1,000 crickets lasted a month not a few days, when my greens actually had time to spoil, when a squash lasted 2 weeks instead of 2 days, before my light bill was $180.00 a month. Those were the days.

Sometimes I miss those days, but we all know that 1 dragon just isn't enough, and I really wouldn't have it any other way!

I have five and can completely empathize. It's the days when I am under the weather that I wonder what I was thinking!!! They are wonderful creatures but it is definitely alot of work!

I'm the one whose jealous now though! You're electric bill is $180???? My BUDGET plan is up to $457/month!!!!

One is plenty for me. When it becomes a chore then its too much, I had that happen with me when I went over board with snakes. I ended up disliking all the time I had to invest on them.

I have 1 dragon, but I have lots of other animals (3 german shepherds and a cat). I wouldn't have it any other way, but it is impossible for our family to travel, especially since we don't trust kennels with our animals.

I would really like to get another bearded dragon sometime and have 2, but we already have 1 plus 2 big dogs, and we're thinking of having a (human) baby in the next couple years, we'll see if I can convince my husband to let me, lol

I'm glad Dudley is my one and only beardie right now, I don't think I can handle worrying about any more of them LOL! I really would like to have another smaller/lower maintanance lizard though, so they can share veggies and/or bugs. A lot of my veggies/bugs end up spoiling/dieing because he can't eat the same ones that my other animals do, and I can't use them up fast enough.

The only pets that are mine right now are Dudley, Smudge (bunny), my afican clawed frog, and some hermit crabs. It's been years since I had this little to care for, I usually have quite a few more pets of my own. I feel like I can give everyone more attention this way though, and spend a little more money on nice cages, quality food, ect since I don't have so many pets anymore.
I have a dog too, but my whole family takes care of him. My sister has a hamster and a guinea pig (my piggie recently passed away from old age )

Some days I wish I could lessen the amount of animals in the house but most of the time I love them all and I'm glad they're here. I only have one Bearded Dragon though. Here's my full list of critters:

1 dog: a white German Shepherd/Husky mix named Maverick
2 cats: both grey tabbies, Munchkin and Dunkin
1 ball python: a normal named Scarlett
1 Beardie: Jayne Cobb

and my daughter has a beta fish in her room that we help her with. (She's only 4.)
