So I was at Lowes and happened to walk by the light bulbs and noticed something...Mercury Vapor Bulbs for $16.95!

Now before I get too excited, has anybody ever used these or tested there uvb output? I'd be tickled pink if I could buy a couple cases of these and be set for a year or so with uvb for all my dragons.

They're probably coated so they don't emit uv. if they do, it's probably not enough for them since they're meant for household, business, industrial use with humans and not for animals/health reasons. Household coils and standard florescent tubes are also mercury vapor based bulbs, but the glass is treated so they don't emit uv. If that coating is damaged in some way, you'd could actually get a sunburn from them without even stepping a foot outdoors.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
