I have a male and female dragon that were supposed to be 2 females. :p now they are a year old and I am considering breeding them for next year. But before I decide anything I would like to see what it's like to have baby beardies. Im wondering if I would be able to buy some eggs (if i can find someone who will give them to me) so that I can hatch them my self. There a a few breeders near me that are an hour to 2 hours away. Would the eggs survive the car ride home?

If they were just hatched, possibly, but I don't think any breeder would allow you to do that. It seems unethical IMO.

I can sum up in one word what its like to have baby beardies hatch from eggs - EXPENSIVE!!
And I mean very expensive lol.

it is at least a 25 hour a week commitment, lot's of babies = lots of mouths = $$$$$$$ (establish a couple roach bins first), my electric bill for my small 2 bdrm home (850 sq') is 176 on the budget plan (with gas heat), and it is a lot of work to build a reputation as a quality breeder. plan on a first year investment of around 3,000+

on the bright side, it gets somewhat routine after a while, the babies are a lot of fun and entertaining, if you truly love beardies, it can be very rewarding (it won't be at first, but it gets easier)

PS. i'd never in a million years sell eggs.

I drove across country with an incubator packed full of eggs plugged into my cigarette lighter. Hatch rates not effected.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
