Keep taking him outside every day for good UVB this will help w/ the eating and work on getting those temps in order - go for the 105-110 for now babies like warmer temps up until around 6 months of age then it goes to the 95-100Okay
How do I regulate my heat bulb? I feel like it will get very stressed being taken out every day. Ill try giving him water now.Keep taking him outside every day for good UVB this will help w/ the eating and work on getting those temps in order - go for the 105-110 for now babies like warmer temps up until around 6 months of age then it goes to the 95-100
No take him out --- your dragon is getting sicker and sicker w/ NO UVB and improper temps- if he as young as I think he is he needs food --- you wont need to regulate the heat bulb once you get those temps to where you want them --- use the digital probe every 2 weeks as basking bulbs get weak over time --- put up a analog to get the ambient temps on the hot side of the tank --- hang the other probe on the cool side of the tank it will give ambient temps -- and you can place it in the middle of the tank to get ambient as well - spot check w/ you IR gun and see if that and the probe are giving you the same temps on the rock ---- I use 3 gauges in the tank all that I just mentioned --- watch your babies behavior the next few days w/ getting him out and temps being correct you will notice a differenceHow do I regulate my heat bulb? Yes are you ordering the Sunblaster? Here is a link for the digital probes - Zoo Med Reptile Terrarium Digital Thermometer | reptile Humidity & Temperature Control | PetSmartThere is a UVB bulb right above him at all times. Could I possibly have a link for a digital probe? Also, I just gave him water with a q tip and he is licking it up. He walked away from my q tip so I assumed he didn't need anymore. Should I buy the uvb bar and bulb right now?
I just moved his basking area up a bit so he can get more heat. I’ll order the sun blaster and the bulb right now.Yes are you ordering the Sunblaster? Here is a link for the digital probes - Zoo Med Reptile Terrarium Digital Thermometer | reptile Humidity & Temperature Control | PetSmart
the one you have now take back I am not a Thrive fan unless its decor --- I use this hygrometer
Exo Terra Digital Hygrometer | Dubia.com
here is the same temp probes but cheaper
Zoo Med Digital Thermometer
Shut the coil off --- your doing more harm than good - the outside time is the best --- try spraying his head instead of a q tip - water bottle - then see if he will lick more
the basking bulb is good
Ok sounds good ---- when it comes I will help you place it for your tank - the screen will determine where it needs to go -- ok please get rid of the sand --- please get some textured NON adhesive shelf liner cut to the size of the tank --- clean w/ vinegar / water 50/50 you can wipe down w/ a clean dish cloth or dish towel - its more sanitary - sand harbors bacteria -- along w/ causing impaction if they are eating any of it -- you need the probe placed on that spot where hes basking - what is the temp gun telling you?I just moved his basking area up a bit so he can get more heat. The rock is reading 87 and the dragon is reading 100. I just put the rock in 15 minutes ago so it probably hasn't absorbed a lot of heat yet. I used the sand that came in the kit, Reptisand. Also, how is the bulb hurting the Dragon?Ok sounds good ---- when it comes I will help you place it for your tank - the screen will determine where it needs to go -- ok please get rid of the sand --- please get some textured NON adhesive shelf liner cut to the size of the tank --- clean w/ vinegar / water 50/50 you can wipe down w/ a clean dish cloth or dish towel - its more sanitary - sand harbors bacteria -- along w/ causing impaction if they are eating any of it -- you need the probe placed on that spot where hes basking - what is the temp gun telling you?
The coil is no good --- please take it out --- this is why hes not eating-along w/ improper basking temps--- get a temp in 45 minutes --- the dragon please dont read him --- that sand is no good -- you dont want your dragon impacted and getting any type of fungus --- sand can cause this if its not kept really clean -The rock is reading 87 and the dragon is reading 100. I have another question. When the lights go out it climbs against the wall and scratches. He eventually stops and sleeps against the wall. My idea is he is stress out.The coil is no good --- please take it out --- this is why hes not eating-along w/ improper basking temps--- get a temp in 45 minutes --- the dragon please dont read him --- that sand is no good -- you dont want your dragon impacted and getting any type of fungus --- sand can cause this if its not kept really clean -
