So i just got my dragon today and he seems to not watch where hes going and always wants to jump off cliffs. So my question is will they like get hurt or anything jumping of from high places? Thanks

Yes they can hurt themselves. I'm assuming you have a baby beardie since they tend to be a little more jumpy than older dragons?
It's best to keep anything that is too tall out of his enclosure. It's also a good idea, unless your 100% confident you can keep him from jumping, not to sit him on high places when out of his enclosure. Right now you can try letting him run and play on the floor in a small room like a bathroom. You want to make sure everything that he could possibly get into is blocked off and of course you'll need to sit in the room with him while he plays just to keep an eye out. But this is a safe way for a little dragon who likes to jump to get exercise and play time. He should calm down more and be less jumpy as he gets a little older.

Im using a 45 cm height for his cage so his basking place is quite up there :/ Instead of going back the way he went up he tend to just jump down from his basking place so im kinda worried about that. Hes currently 3 months old. Should i just move the bulb into the tank instead than? Thanks so much.

Yes as jesspets suggested uploading a picture would help users on here make suggestions for you to try.
45cm is not to bad for an adult or juvenile, but for a jumpy baby it can be a long ways down. They tend to be little risk takers at that age.

Thanks guys :3 hearing what yall said i have moved the basking spot near to the ground while moving the basking light lower. One more question, i heard that if a beardie closes their eyes when their basking its a symptom that the light used is bad for their eyes? Should i change the light of the bulb than?

Closing their eyes can mean irritation but it can also mean they're relaxing while they bask or trying to block something out (annoying humans usually). The komodo basking light is fine as long as it's producing proper temperatures in the enclosure. 38-42C in the basking area and 24-27 or so in the cool area with a nice gradient between. If your UVB light is the Komodo T8 tube, it should sit about 6'' above the basking area for best output. If it's secondhand and you don't know how old it is, I would replace it. Their output declines over time and the T8 bulbs need replacement after about 6 months or so.

With a 45cm tank I'd get a T5 which produces much higher UVB output (and lasts longer). A T5 would produce optimal UVB over a basking area 30cm from the bulb so you can put the basking area a little lower which would be safer if he likes to jump off. The 22'' version of this is one of the best options around https://www.reptiles.swelluk.com/arcadia-complete-uv-light-kit-desert-reptiles/

A T8 should sit about 15-20cm above the basking area for best output. You can probably create a better heat and light gradient if you open the rest of the tank. The extra space shouldn't cause a problem and will provide more places to explore.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
