Tips on potty training?

Don't put him on the bed, and if you do, don't let him see the gecko(?) :roll:
If you can't/won't, then cover the bed with something that can be washed, and that you don't care about. Keep in mind that disease passed between BDs and humans (e.g. Salmonella, Campylobacter) occurs through contact with feces.
I'd suggest (if you haven't already) watching some vids on training. I saw one where a vet did a massage thing on a constipated BD, and it let go a whole weeks worth in her lap. She knew exactly what she was doing--had a huge blanket rag on her lap to catch it all.
